Athletic Club KC Beats Gryfindor, 3-1

The Athletic Club KC Reserves eeked out a 3-1 win versus the Gryfindor Braves at KC Reserve Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Tomás Torres, who captured player of the game honors. Torres went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 1. His record improves to 6-3. Athletic Club KC, at 26-39, occupies last place in the Premier AAA.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, third baseman Bill Dennis came through big-time for the Reserves. With Athletic Club KC leading 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
Dennis said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
