Though he had a great game, António Ramos could not single-handedly produce a win for Milton. Gryfindor won the game, 3-2. Ramos was named the player of the game. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Gryfindor has now won 3 straight, while the Dogfish Head have lost 3 in a row.
There was more than one reason the Braves beat the Dogfish Head, but one factor was Bob McNeil. In the bottom of the sixth, the Gryfindor catcher came to bat and hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 3-2 lead.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," McNeil told the Gryfindor Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
