Panama City designated hitter Juan Jose Ayala was a significant contributor in his team's 8-4 triumph over the Vancouver Grey Wolves. He was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Panama City. The second-place Grey Wolves have lost 10 consecutive games.

Ayala had a game-changing double in the bottom of the second. On a first pitch fastball from Job Poppe, he banged a bases-clearing double to center, giving the Piranhas a 4-1 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Ayala.

"I was a little disappointed," said Vancouver manager David Krause. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
