Rocks Fall to .500 After Loss to Braves
|
Gryfindor Braves starter Kenny Koehler turned in an exceptional performance against the Plymouth Rocks at Cayuse Ballpark, resulting in a Gryfindor win, 6-2. Koehler went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-6. Jim Unknown earned the save for Gryfindor, his 1st.
José Corona went 1-4 for Gryfindor. The 22-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. That's when he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Louis Webber. It was his 21st RBI of the season.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Gryfindor manager .
The second-place Braves now have a win-loss record of 26-20.
