Sunset District first baseman Albert Sánchez had a terrific game. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Royse City beat the Fog, 4-3. Sánchez was named the player of the game despite the loss. Royse City now sits at 22-17, while Sunset District falls to 19-20.
Jon Baxter contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat that helped send Royse City to the win.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Baxter told the Royse City Observer.
