The D.C. Divided defeated the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 11-7, in Premier League action at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Charles Mathes received player of the game honors. The 6-year veteran hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 6. Luis Fernández picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-5. He struck out 1 in 6.1 innings. Vancouver is trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.

Mathes's nice game included a clutch grand slam home run in the top of the fourth.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Vancouver manager David Krause.
