Athletic Club KC first baseman Chris Hill played a vital role in his team's 5-3 triumph over Royse City. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Athletic Club KC. Athletic Club KC reliever Elvin Brooks picked up the win to move to 3-0. Rodger de Meza suffered the loss. Jim Unknown finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Hill came through with some timely hitting for Athletic Club KC. With the score 2-1 in the top of the sixth and two down, Hill hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Reserves managed to win.
"Enjoyed this one," Hill told the Athletic Club KC Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
With the win, the Reserves improved to 12-14.
