The Galesburg Guzzlers and Connetquot Chiefs cranked it up at Galesburg Field.
The Galesburg Guzzlers were defeated, 6-4, by the Connetquot Chiefs. Leading the charge for Connetquot was first baseman Geoffrey Broekhuizen. He went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Picking up the save was Mario Hurrado, his 4th.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth, when Broekhuizen reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. The Chiefs went on to win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Broekhuizen said after the game.
