Tim Taylor did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Long Island Seawolves from losing, 10-5, to the Glendale Herons at Heron Field. Taylor went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Guang Wen converted his 4th save in 5 tries. The Herons saw their record improve to 50-49.

The Herons got a big at-bat from Ruud van Ineveld. For the game, van Ineveld was 1 for 4 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 6th triple of the season gave Glendale a 6-4 lead.

"The most important thing is that we won," van Ineveld said.
