Rails Lose to Shooters in Walk Off
The Springfield Shooters picked up a win at Springfield Stadium, knocking off the Richland Rails, 6-3. Starting pitcher Ken Aldridge, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Springfield reliever Walt Cooley picked up the win, upping his record to 5-7. Jim Unknown took the loss. The 'W' lifts Springfield's record to 39-52.

Frank Crocker was the walk-off hero for Springfield. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Springfield second baseman hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," said Aldridge.
