Shooters Can't Finish, Lose 5-4
|
The Nationals grabbed a 5-4 win at Nationals Park, overcoming a fine effort from Springfield pitcher Ken Aldridge. Aldridge went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Ottawa has now won 3 in a row.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Ottawa trailing 4-3, Eduardo Morales hit a fastball from Walt Cooley to center for a 2-run triple. Just like that, the Nationals had a walk-off win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Morales said.
