The home team gave the Platform 9 3/4 fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Wizarding Express and the Detroit Renaissance, pitcher Rafael Arredondo was the difference-maker. The Wizarding left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Wizarding reliever Dorian Daly picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Domingo Ramírez shouldered the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Wizarding third baseman Chi-ju Zhang, facing Rafael García, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Express the 3-2 win.
"Put a star next to this win," Zhang said.
With the win over Detroit, the Express improved to 40-38.
