Richland Rails starter Bart Gresham turned in a sterling performance against the Glendale Herons, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Jim Unknown recorded his 1st save for Richland. Richland now sits in 8th place in the Menard's AA at 33-36.
Frank Sharp, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from David Davis for a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season put Richland in front, 3-1.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Glendale manager Cristo Martínez.
