Nationals Beat Deuces, 3-1
|
The Ottawa Nationals went home winners at Nationals Park, thanks in large part to starter António Fabián. Fabián silenced the Virginia Beach Deuces, enabling Ottawa to grab the 3-1 win. The Nationals raised their record to 30-35.
The tension was thick in the top of the eighth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Virginia Beach trailing 3-1, António Fabián had to get a big out. On a full count circle change, he retired Carlos Pérez, who struck out.
