Polar Bears Cut Down Sixshooters, 4-1
|
The Polar Bears grabbed a 4-1 win at Sixshooters Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Westwood pitcher Roosevelt Guimond. Guimond went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Billings reliever José Maestas picked up the win, upping his record to 8-4. Roosevelt Guimond was saddled with the loss. Jim Unknown earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Matt Roloff broke a 0-0 tie in the top of the third with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Polar Bears in front, 1-0. For the game, Roloff drove in one run.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Roloff.
Billings is 6th in the Menard's AA with a record of 32-31.
