The Myrtle Beach Mermen got a superb performance from center fielder Sergio Rodríguez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Virginia Beach. The Deuces won the game, 7-3. In spite of the loss, Rodríguez was named the player of the game. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Virginia Beach now owns a record of 31-22.
