Virginia Beach got a terrific game from right fielder Atílio Mansilhas. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Richland, 8-7. Mansilhas was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-2 with 2 home runs, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Richland is now 20-21, Virginia Beach 24-17.

The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Shigeko Sakoda, Jorge Greenbaum hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Richland the 8-7 walk-off win.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Greenbaum.
