Victory Pushes Smoke Record to 41-32
|
Atlanta overcame a superlative game from Chi-ju Zhang to beat Wizarding, 10-3. The Wizarding third baseman took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Fraser Cuevas got credit for the win, improving to 7-6. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 7 innings. Atlanta now has a 3-game win streak.
In the bottom of the fourth, Atlanta third baseman Bartolo Morales had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two outs, Morales stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 4-3, Atlanta. For the game, he went 3-5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs.
