Virginia Beach center fielder Juan Perales picked up 5 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Richland Rails, 10-3. Miguel Álvarez earned the win to go to 4-0. He allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Virginia Beach Deuces, now 13-5, have hit the ground running this season.

Perales came through with some timely hitting for Virginia Beach. With the score 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, Perales hit a 0-2 fastball for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Deuces managed to win.
