The Richland Rails racked up a win at Rails Ballpark, bumping off the Springfield Shooters, 10-1. Scott Mildren, who started for Richland, pitched effectively for his team. Richland improves to 6-5 as they look to defend their championship.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the second. But Scott Mildren pitched out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Springfield trailing 8-0, Mildren retired Gabrio Campoverde, who flied out.
