Nationals Fall Short, 5-4, at Ft. Polk South
Ft. Polk South third baseman Jorge Rivera was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Ottawa Nationals. Rivera, who is rated as the 72nd best prospect by BNN, went 3-4 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Thunder Hawks. The Thunder Hawks raised their record to 5-5.

Rivera came through with some timely hitting for Ft. Polk South. With the score 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth and one down, Rivera hit a 1-1 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was his 6th hit of the season -- and a big reason the Thunder Hawks managed to win.

Rivera told the Ft. Polk South Times: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
