Richland overcame a superlative game from Elroy Thompkins to beat Atlantic City, 4-2. The Atlantic City pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. Roberto Guillén earned the save, his 2nd, for the Rails. The win pushes Richland to a record of 3-4.

Richland grabbed control in the top of the eighth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Jorge Greenbaum delivered a 2-run home run, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Rails.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Greenbaum.
