Benefiting from Curt Wilson's productive game, the Virginia Beach Deuces downed the Glendale Herons, 6-3. Wilson went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Deuces. The loss lowers the record for Glendale to 0-7.

Wilson came through with some timely hitting for Virginia Beach. With the score 1-0 in the top of the fifth and one down, Wilson hit a 2-2 slider for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season -- and a big reason the Deuces managed to win.

In postgame comments to the Virginia Beach Gazette, Wilson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
