Legion Win at Portland, 6-3
|
Kingston Township beat Portland at Evergreen Park, eking out a 6-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Woody Carlson, who earned player of the game honors. Carlson got the win, improving to 6-9. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Carlson allowed 3 earned runs. The Legion, at 45-53, sit in 9th place in the Division III.
Also doing his part was designated hitter Christian Blair, who stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second for Kingston Township. For the game, Blair was 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
