Red Knights Go Down to Defeat, 8-1
The Las Vegas Flamingos downed the Capital District Red Knights, 8-1, at Capital Grounds. Roberto Salazar led the way, going 2-for-3 for Las Vegas. Las Vegas reliever Jim Washington was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Enrique García took the loss for Capital District. Las Vegas occupies third place in the Division III at 52-37.

Salazar came through with some timely hitting for Las Vegas. With the score 2-1 in the top of the seventh and two down, Salazar hit a 1-1 changeup for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season -- and a big reason the Flamingos managed to win.

"We did a lot of things right," said Salazar.
