Jon Briddon pitched well, but the Kingston Township Legion still lost the game, falling 3-1 to the Las Vegas Flamingos at Cloverdale Legion Park. Ron Yarbrough recorded his 3rd save for Las Vegas. With the win, Las Vegas has a record of 50-37. Kingston Township falls to 38-49.
Las Vegas took the lead in the top of the fourth on a big hit from Emílio Sáenz. On a 2-0 fastball from Jon Briddon, Sáenz hit a run-scoring single. That made it 1-0, Flamingos. For the day, Sáenz went 1-4.
Said Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban: "I tell our guys all the time: 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction.'"
