Pandas Get Past Chicago for 12-6 Win
|
The Montana Pandas and Chicago Hawks obliged those fans who came to Hawks Ballpark hoping for an exciting game.
The Montana Pandas turned back the Chicago Hawks, 12-6, at Hawks Ballpark. Brady Ferris was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 1-3 with a triple and 3 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Montana reliever Joshua Barnes got the win, raising his record to 2-4. Teddy Perkins was tagged with the loss. Mike Farrell got the save, the 6th for him this season.
Riley Howard provided some late-game heroics for Montana. In the top of the eighth inning, he hit a 2-run double. It came on a 2-2 slider from Shi-lin Li and propelled Montana to a 8-6 lead.
"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Ferris.
The Pandas improved to 53-34.
