Legion Come Back Late to Clip Flamingos
In a tight contest at Cloverdale Legion Park, the Kingston Township Legion edged the Las Vegas Flamingos by the score of 5-3. The Kingston Township Legion's first baseman Bob Sargent, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Toshiro Saikawa was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 17 save opportunities. Kingston Township is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Sargent had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch curveball from Enrique García, he banged a 2-run single to left-center, giving the Legion a 5-3 lead. It was the 13th hit of the year for Sargent.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Sargent told a Kingston Township Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
