Montana got a terrific performance from center fielder Ramiro Salazar, but it wasn't enough to beat the Greenville 84s. Greenville won the 84s Field contest, 6-5. Salazar was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He hit 2 home runs. The 10th-place 84s raised their record to 32-50.

Greenville took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Keith Bridges hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring 84s fans to their feet.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Bridges, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
