Pandas Edge Kingston Township in Pitching Duel
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Montana Pandas and the Kingston Township Legion, pitcher Richard Sykes was excellent. The Montana right-hander was named the player of the game in Montana's 1-0 win. José Sandoval earned the save for Montana, his 2nd of the year. Montana, at 49-32, sits in second place in the Division III.
Danny Walsh contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that propelled Montana to the win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Walsh said, "and we're having fun right now."
