The Capital District Red Knights went home winners at Evergreen Park, thanks in large part to starter Terry King. King silenced the Portland Evergreens, enabling Capital District to grab the 8-0 win. King went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 7-2. The first-place Red Knights are now 43-26, the Evergreens 26-43.

Sergio Ortíz contributed an important at-bat in the top of the second. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped send Capital District to the win.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Capital District Red Knights manager Don Lookingbill.
