Dodgers Stay Hot with 5-1 Win
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers picked up a win at Ebbetts Field, knocking off the Chicago Hawks, 5-1. Starting pitcher John Kaufman was an essential part of his team's success. Brooklyn has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Also having an impact was catcher Kelly Brown, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the second for Brooklyn. For the game, Brown was 1-3 with a double and a walk.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Brown told the Brooklyn Citizen.
