Flamingos Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos got a stellar effort from pitcher Melvin Haney, helped Las Vegas score a 3-2 win over the visiting Chicago Gold Sox. The Flamingos now own a record of 37-26.
Sake van Arem was the walk-off hero for Las Vegas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Las Vegas third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
van Arem said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
