Oakland beat Wizarding at Platform 9 3/4, escaping with a 12-0 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Rafael Najcrea, who earned player of the game honors. He was 4-4 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Júlio Martínez picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-3. He struck out 5 in 6.1 innings. The Oaks go to 32-32, putting them 7th in the Division I.

Najcrea came through with some timely hitting for Oakland. With the score 3-0 in the top of the third and two down, Najcrea hit a 1-2 changeup for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season -- and a big reason the Oaks managed to win.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Najcrea.
