The Montana Pandas powered past the Portland Evergreens, 12-8, at Panda Park. Ramiro Salazar was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Montana reliever Enrique Cortéz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Logan Gregory took the loss. The first-place Pandas have a one-game lead in their division.
Joaquín Rangel, who is rated as the 34th best prospect by BNN, aided the Montana cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate.
