The Philadelphia 1776 BC trumped the Portland Evergreens, 9-4, at Evergreen Park. Philadelphia 1776 right fielder Cliff Aldridge was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. With the win, the BC have a record of 28-31.
Russell Jackson had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for the BC. Coming up with the bases loaded and Philadelphia 1776 trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
