Losing Streak Continues for Grey Wolves with 5-1 Loss
|
The Richardson City Thundercats topped the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 5-1, in Premier League action at The Thunder Dome. The player of the game was Richardson City pitcher and Zundert, The Netherlands native Josef van der Poel. Richardson City reliever Dave Reed picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Bill Ball shouldered the loss. The slumping Grey Wolves have lost 15 straight.
Richardson City took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Alden Wiley hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Thundercats fans to their feet.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Vancouver skipper David Krause.
