|
Bill Fletcher never let the Kingston Township Legion find their groove. Throughout the game, Fletcher, who is tied for 10th in the 3L with a 7.5 K/9 rate, relied on his bread and butter, his fastball, in pitching the Pandas to a win. Greg Jordan earned the save for Montana, his 3rd of the year. The second-place Pandas now have a win-loss record of 37-20.
In the top of the fifth, Pancho Salaedo had a big run-scoring single off Jon Briddon. With the single, the Montana shortstop put his team in front, 1-0. He was 1 for 4 in the contest.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Fletcher said.
