Flamingos Finish Off Hawks in 12
|
Las Vegas starter Melvin Haney pitched effectively against the Chicago Hawks at Hawks Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. The Flamingos bumped their record to 25-17 with this latest triumph.
Though he didn't earn the victory, Haney kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Las Vegas offense came through. Over 8.2 innings, he allowed 3 hits and 1 run, while striking out 6.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban.
