Hotspur Reserves Saddle Sun Caps with 10-4 Loss
|
Hotspur Reserves shortstop Hiwahikeiki Noelani put his stamp on his team's 10-4 win over the Jersey City Sun Caps. Noelani was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Phoenix in the contest. Phoenix has an impressive 62-31 record.
Noelani came through with some timely hitting for Phoenix. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the second and one down, Noelani hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run double. It was his 14th double of the season -- and a big reason the Hotspur Reserves managed to win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Noelani told the Phoenix Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
