Gómez Delivers Walk-Off Win for Lake Monsters
The Vermont Lake Monsters dealt the Jersey City Sun Caps a 4-3 loss at Monster Field. Ramón Gómez was the star on offense. He was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. Vermont reliever Jim Unknown was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Oliver Huerta took the loss. The third-place Lake Monsters raised their record to 47-39.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Gómez hit a cutter from Oliver Huerta for a run-scoring single. The Lake Monsters, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Gómez said.
