The Tortolita Drummers had to overcome a big game from Houston right fielder Ludovico Trezza to leave Drummers Ballpark with a 3-2 victory. Trezza was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. The win was credited to Motoyuki Nakamura in relief. His record improves to 7-1. Millard Taylor took the loss. At 40-43, the Drummers find themselves in 8th place in the Silver AAA.

In the bottom of the 3rd, Tortolita took the lead on a 2-run single by John Moore. At the time, the Drummers were trailing 1-0, but Moore's hit with two outs against Houston pitcher Millard Taylor put them in front, 2-1.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Houston skipper Willis Crawford, "and it cost us."
