Guerra 'Lights Out' in Phoenix Win
|
Phoenix starter Alejandro Guerra pitched effectively against the Pennsauken Flyers at Thunderbirds Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. Jim Unknown picked up the save for Phoenix, his 1st of the year. The Flyers, at 41-41, have lost 4 straight games.
Guerra, who leaned on his circle change, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 7 innings for the Hotspur Reserves. For the most part, Pennsauken hitters were simply overmatched.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Guerra.
