Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Sun Caps
|
Jersey City designated hitter Mike Lyon made his presence felt in the 3-2 Sun Caps triumph over the Tortolita Drummers. Lyon was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 6th-place Drummers have dropped 4 straight games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Lyon hit a slider from Pedro Figueroa for a run-scoring single. The Sun Caps, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Lyon. "I like it."
