Hernández Lifts Fighting Dachsunds to 13-10 Win
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Preston Hernández, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds defeated the Augusta Timber Hawks, 13-10. Hernández was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Fighting Dachsunds. Sean Evans closed the door for Ellenburg, picking up his 19th save of the year. The 8th-place Fighting Dachsunds raised their record to 35-39.

José Vázquez provided some late-game heroics for Ellenburg. In the top of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a 1-1 curveball from Iván Flores and propelled Ellenburg to a 11-10 lead.

Augusta manager Elvis Helton said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score in double digits, you expect to win the game."
