Houston used a superb performance from starting pitcher Mark Collingwood to down the Vermont Lake Monsters, 5-1. The third-place BC have won 4 in a row.

The BC got a big at-bat from Joseph Gray. For the game, Gray was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Houston a 3-0 lead.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Houston manager Willis Crawford.
