It was a good time at Drummers Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Alloway Halberds and Tortolita Drummers get after it.

The Tortolita Drummers beat the Alloway Halberds, 9-2, at Drummers Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder Stephen Blair, who captured player of the game honors. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The 7th-place Drummers are now 35-38, the Halberds 44-29.

One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third, when Blair hit a 2-run home run. The Drummers went on to win.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Blair said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."
