Lake Monsters Bang Out 12-7 Win Versus Florida
|
Benefiting from Rodrigo Velasco's productive game, the Vermont Lake Monsters downed the Florida Men, 12-7. Velasco went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Lake Monsters. The win puts the Lake Monsters at 37-33, while the Men drop to 15-55.
Xing-li Wang, the Vermont center fielder, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 9-6, Lake Monsters. For the game, Wang was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Wang told the Vermont Chronicle.
