Flyers Win at Florida, 3-1
|
Pennsauken Flyers starter Seong-rae Park turned in a sterling performance against the Florida Men, leading his team to a slim 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Park, now 4-3. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Will O'Slattery was credited with the save for Pennsauken, his 12th of the season.
Ignacio Martínez, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in doubles with 11, aided the Pennsauken cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Pennsauken Flyers manager Wilson Alvarado, "I like our chances."
The Florida losing streak has now reached 4 games.
