The Tortolita Drummers turned back the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 9-5, at Drummers Ballpark. Stephen Blair was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Motoyuki Nakamura got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. The 6th-place Drummers improved to 29-28.

Luis Rivas was 1-2 with a double and a walk for Tortolita. The 33-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Billy Crawford. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

In postgame comments, Rivas told the Tortolita Observer: "Do people still doubt I give 100%?"
